About Me
Hi, I’m Kanniese Chen, a student at Clemson University pursuing a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences with minors in Computer Science and Digital Production Arts. Mathematics has always been a natural strength of mine; I could ace exams without taking notes in class. My passion for math extends beyond academics—I love exploring fascinating concepts like the Collatz Conjecture, Hilbert’s Hotel, and Perfect Numbers in my free time. Since starting college, I’ve combined my love for math with programming. Coding mathematical concepts has been an exciting way for me to bring abstract ideas to life. One of my favorites is the Collatz Conjecture—its simplicity and the universal end result of reaching one never fail to amaze me.
Another thing I love to do in my free time is photography. I started photography because of a friend I met at a temple. He’s in his 80s and has taken photos in the temple since 2014 but hasn’t been able to make it to the temple lately due to health issues. He picked out the camera for me, and I filled his shoes for the temple. Outside the temple, I wanted to take photos of my friends and family to cherish my memories. College friendships, in particular, mean a lot to me—will we still be friends after graduation? My photos help keep these memories alive.
